The Home Management Company is a long established member of ARLA (The Association of Residential Letting Agents) - since 1989 - and achieved Licensed status in 2009.  ARLA Licensed firms have Client Money Protection, fully trained staff, a strict Code of Practise, Professional Indemnity Insurance and membership of the independent Ombudsman Scheme. 

Susan Hughes-Thomas founded the company in 1986.  She served as Regional Council Member for Hertfordshire and Middlesex from 1995, and joined the National Council in 2000. In 2007 ARLA joined with NAEA, the (National Association of Estate Agents ) under the umbrella company NFOPP (The National Federation of Property Professionals) and at that point she was invited to serve on the Divisional Council. 

Susan was President of ARLA from 2010-2011.  Her overriding aims to promote awareness of the benefits of using an ARLA agent to the public - both landlords and tenants alike - and to enrich the benefits of membership to agents in an industry which, over time, has become a legislative minefield.
